Smoked Holiday Ham with Pineapple Ginger Ale Glaze

Cooking for 8 people


  • ¼ liter (about 15 oz.) ginger ale
  • 2 cans (40 oz.) pineapple chunks
  • 10–12 lb pre-cooked bone-in ham

1 Food Prep

Season ham with your favorite BBQ seasoning.

2 Grill Prep

Fuel: We recommend Kingsford® Grillmaster’s Choice Hardwood Pellets.

Method: Pellet Grill

Temp: 225°F

3 The Cook

  • Place ham into an aluminum pan.

  • Fill the pan halfway with ginger ale and add the pineapple chunks around the ham.

  • Smoke at 225°F until internal temperature is 145°F.

  • Baste the ham every half hour with ginger ale and pineapple mixture.

I followed the recipe using a spiral ham that had already been cooked and coated in brown sugar. The ham tasted even better than it smelled. Incredibly delicious and simple to prepare.
