Let's get grilling

1 Coat one side watermelon with honey and grill (starting with honey side up so the watermelon absorbs the honey) over Kingsford® Original charcoal briquettes until warmed through and has nice grill marks.
2 Let watermelon cool, dice.
3 Add watermelon, fresh mint leaves and small amount of ice in glass. Muddle watermelon, mint and ice together until they are blended nicely and you can smell the amazing aromas!
4 In a mule cup combine over ice: watermelon mint puree, ginger beer, vodka (optional) and a squeeze of fresh lime. Garnish with fresh mint and lime wedge.

  • fresh watermelon slices (thick-cut 1–2 inches)
  • honey
  • fresh mint leaves

  • ginger beer (diet preferred)
  • vodka (optional but highly recommended)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Refreshing Summer Drink- Watermelon for the Win! Made this recipe the other night and it was simple, fast and awesome! Recipe makes 2 drinks. We grilled 1 full slice of watermelon, about 2 inches think and cut in half for grilling. For each drink we used 1 half of the slice, 1 shot of vodka for each drink and 1/2 bottle of ginger beer. We used about 4 mint leaves per drink but could have added a little more. Very refreshing summer drink!
