Loaded Baked Potato Hot Dog

  • 8 hot dogs
  • 1 can hot dog chili
  • 1 (30 oz.) package tater tot rounds/crowns (prepared according to instructions)
  • 1 (8 oz.) package finely grated Monterey jack or cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • sour cream
  • green onion or chives
  • 8 hot dog buns


  1. Prepare grill for medium-high heat cooking, approximately 400°F. Place a small saucepan on the grill and add the hot dog chili. Allow the chili to warm as you cook the hot dogs. Place hot dogs on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes until cooked through, turning frequently to brown evenly. Remove the hot dogs from the grill and assemble by placing each one into a bun then topping with 4–6 tater tot rounds/crowns, chili, shredded cheese, sour cream, crumbled bacon and green onion/chives. Serve immediately.
