Can't find them this season
I used these last year and liked them. I grill almost daily about 6 months of the year. I haven't been able to find them in stores that sold them last year. Why??

Nothing like lump
The wife bought a bag of these coals because they said lump but when you open the bag they are just regular kingsford coals with a little bit of sawdust in them...will not buy again

They are alot healthier cause of being natural. With out all that chemical smell. They heat up, use less and when they get hot they are hot!!!!!!!!!

Took a chance: so glad we did!
We bought this because it said "lump" and "mesquite" and was little less $ and lbs than the trad Kingsford bag we usually purchase.
I am using a well seasoned Weber Kettle, but started coals on a Weber gas grill since my chimney is broken.
Was very skeptical about the burn time of these coals at first, but they truly did last a very long time and cooked three bone-in rib steaks to absolute perfection.
We achieved Restaurant quality flavor and sear, and our friends were raving about the steaks!
We will be buying this type of coal for the rest of the summer!

Terrible
This could be the worst charcoal I have ever purchased. My usual lump was unavailable so I purchased this. The tremendous amount of smoke and chemical taste this product produces was terrible. Food was inedible. Never again. I have been grilling/smoking food for 20 years and don't believe I have ever had a worse purchase. Stick with lump.

No replacement for lump charcoal
Don't be fooled. This is the usual kingsford briquette with a little bit of wood added. It is not in any way a replacement for lump charcoal.
If you use something like a big green egg, you will be completely disappointed. It burns quickly and leaves a lot of ash behind. Never again!

great charcoal!
I really love this charcoal! I slow grilled a prime rib for the Super bowl, and this lump worked better than Kingsford said it would. I used a chimney for the first time and my roast tasted like it came from a top notch restaraunt! No aftertaste and it burned forever in 45 degree weather. This is my favorite charcoal!!!

Kingsford Briquets
I have tried other charcoal briquets but the other donot work as well as Kingsford. When I used the other charcoal brand I would always have to re-light the grill so, I am going to continue to buy Kingsford.
